  1. *drool* good GRIEF that man is so damn sexy. This movie looks super fun and hilarious, but I’m mostly gonna see it so I can see Adam’s fine face for a couple of hours. Patterson was excellent for that. I can’t believe I didn’t find him attractive the first few times I watched TFA. I have since seen the light. Largely because of TLJ. And Patterson.

        • I don’t watch a lot of low key indie movies, so the first time I watched it, I thought it was kind of boring and weird. The second time I appreciated its subtleties more. My favorite parts are the power struggle between Paterson and Marvin and Paterson’s love for his wife, who’s completely oblivious to the fact that she could be a very successful designer. His love and respect for her is just humbling.

He’s such a refreshing character; an antidote to a lot of the bombast and bravado that’s presented as male characterization in modern cinema. Adam pulls it off beautifully; I love that he has such magnificent range.

    • He really IS sexy and I’ve been trying to put my finger on why. He’s not classic Hollywood handsome. He lacks the veneer of cockiness so many young actors wear. In interviews he’s an interesting combination of self-effacing, goofy, awkward, and intelligent. But put him beside 99% of Hollywood’s young male A List and he’s faaar sexier. I think it’s that he’s so incredibly masculine yet emotionally available. He lacks the artifice that’s so often attached to lead actors. What do you guys think?
